Upon hearing of some instances that baby wearing can cause some unfavourable things that might happen to the child. We have listed some important things that any “baby carrier” should take note and remember before purchasing and using this product.

According to NCT, baby wearing must be at all times considering the child’s safety.  The safest position for a child to be carried is upright position to avoid suffocation. Newborns must be avoided to lying down cradle-type. Here are more important factors that any parent should remember.

Baby Sling Tips

  • Parents should be at all times able to see their baby whenever they wear a baby sling. It is important that the fabric will be open that you may need to check on your baby every now and then.
  • The head of your baby must be at all times being comfortable and close to your chin. A kiss will be reached whenever you tipped your chin forward.
  • The tightness of the sling fabrics and carriers must have enough to make your baby comfortable and hug in yourself. Avoid any loose material that will eventually allow your baby to fall down in the fabric that will cause them to breathing to hamper.
  • Supporting the baby’s back is very important in which they should be held comfortable enough to you inorder to support their back in natural position including the chest and tummy to be help against you.  If the sling is not properly done, there is a possibility that your baby will slump that will partially close their airway.
  • Make sure to have a space of at least a finger under the chin of the baby. Curling your baby must be avoided as their chin can be forced into the chest in which later on can affect on your baby’s breathing.
